CELEBRATIONS AND CAKES

Till not so long ago, the only time we thought about cakes were for birthday's, christmas (mainly if you happened to be living in one of the cities with the Raj influence) or occassionally for an aniversary. Well, that's was then..now it's another story altogether!

Just like over the years we have adopted Valentine's Day, discovered friendship day and decided to show our love and thank our mothers and fathers, we have also started celebrating the arrival of the stork.

Every country has it's own cultures and traditions. Over the last decade or so globalisation has meant that just as we have honoured are own traditions we have also adopted some western ones. The result has been baby showers, stag and hen parties, graduation etc etc.

This has meant that the simple cake has also undergone evolution. So from a simple chocolate or black forest cake it has transformed into naughty cakes for stag and hen parties, baby themes even divorce cakes...yes there's a whole range of that too!

Think about it, have we ever thought of a cake as a piece of art. Not yet but hopefully soon. Creating a cake which takes your breath away can take many man hours and sometimes days. The joy of bringing someone's dream come true is a feeling very difficult to put down and I hope to make your dreams come true and give you the cake that truly celebrates the occasion !!!
